Ricardo Lalor

Mr. Lalor is Managing Director and founding partner of BACP.

Prior to joining BACP, Mr. Lalor worked for Bank Boston as Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Department in Buenos Aires and for Banesto Banking Corporation.

Since 1991 at BACP, Mr. Lalor has advised numerous clients in privatizations, debt restructuring and M&A transactions. Among his most in-depth transactions, Mr. Lalor has advised SanCor in the restructuring of its financial debt, La Salteña and Delicity in their sale to Pillsbury, Quilmes in the acquisition of Baesa, TotalGaz in the acquisition and subsequent debt restructuring of Argón, Goldman Sachs in the sale of a minority stake in Clarin, Despegar in its 1st and 2nd capital raisings, and the Exxel Group in the acquisition by Norte supermarkets of ABUD, Mega and Hipermercados Tigre, as part of a national expansion strategy.

Mr. Lalor has a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad Católica Argentina and a MSM in International Finance from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (Cambridge, Massachussetts).

Ricardo Lalor (h) is Managing Director and Partner at BACP

Mr. Lalor (h) has over 15 years of experience in transformational transactions. Throughout his career, he has advised clients across various industries on strategic deals, including mergers, acquisitions, cross-border transactions, divestitures, and selected capital raising transactions. Among his most in-depth assignments, he played a pivotal role in advising Xubio on its acquisition by Visma, Trivest's Growth Investment in Veritran, SeSocio.com's sale to Blockchain.com, Soros Fund Management's divestiture of Adecoagro, Repsol's divestiture of YPF, Tenaris' sale of Republic Conduit to Nucor, as well as MercadoLibre, Arcos Dorados, Adecoagro, and YPF's international follow-on offerings. He also advised AA2000 (Corporación América), YPF, and the Republic of Argentina's international debt issuances.

Prior to joining BACP, Ricardo worked at Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in New York and Buenos Aires, advising clients across Latin America. Earlier in his career, he worked at JP Morgan and the Fintech Product Development team at MercadoLibre.

Mr. Lalor (h) received a SEP from Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a Business Administration degree from Universidad de San Andrés.
